National Prayer

Many ecumenical across the nation are joining hands, hearts and spirits to beseech the favor God to move upon the stony hearts of our national leaders. As a Christian and student of the gospel, I encourage all across the nation to join in this movement and encourage our church leaders to do the same. This corporate prayer should be inclusive of every church gathering and a part of personal daily devotionals. The actions of our leaders are totally contradictory to the spirit and teachings of our Lord. This is total reversal to the teachings of Christ as recorded in the Synoptic Gospels. Is this national crisis reflective of the Good Neighbor parable? Is this loving one another as I have loved you? The actions of this nation would repulse the foundational teachings as prescribed in the books of Deuteronomy and Leviticus. Christ perfected and incorporated a the radical message of loving your neighbor and self-sacrifice. Jesus said, ” the scriptures are summarized in this, that you love your neighbor as you love yourself.” A righteous neighbor/nation would not cut programs for head start and other programs designed to help its most vulnerable citizens. However. we can build head start programs across the nation in the sanctuary’s that lie as empty tombs for most of the week. Our congregations are laden rich with brilliant retired teachers and administrators who can form a mighty army to attack the enemy of ignorance and roll away the stone that has trapped our children in the tomb. We must call our children from the graves of ignorance, hunger , despair, pregnancy, mistaken identity, and insecurity. Loose them and let them go! Remove the bonds of mundane teaching.Dismiss those who have adopted the philosophy that education is wasted on them because of their address. We must cast off the curse that the enemy has attempted to speak in their future’s ! We can use the sanctuary as a oasis of learning and nurturing that will cause our children to grow strong, proud and capable!
We must work to protect the most vulnerable in society, children, the elderly and the infirmed.To cut vital heath programs for mothers and grandmothers across this nation is reprehensible.
This is an attempt to establish a new world order by the principalities who are using elected officials to further their goals! Those in the high places have totally ignored the fact that God loves justice! That Jesus whipped the money changers in the Temple for usury, unjust scales, robbery and malfeasance!
The Lord has ushered a great opportunity for ‘the body’ to stand up and show itself mighty! It is time out for building bigger barns that seat thousands while the needs of the people go unmet and the church is functionally dead beyond collecting tithes. It is time that we use the vast revenue of the body to feed, heal, clothe, house, educate those in the body and in the body at large.
To bring the kingdom to earth. This is not what the Kingdom looks like. God has given us an opportunity to eradicate silly prejudices and divisions. We must stand as one nation under God

Opportunity Lost

Can you imagine that the government shut down also shut down the FHA. That’s right the FHA! That would mean no new home purchases until this mess is resolved which would limit the access to home ownership opportunity for new home buyers! FHA requires a 3% down payment but more importantly the VHDAFHA ( Virginia department housing authority ) which requires a 1% down payment for eligible buyers would also be hampered.
These are truly praying times. There is an all assault on middle class, the poor and marganilized. An assult on basic freedoms and programs that have been the lenchpin of our sense of decensy as a society. Programs for the mentally challenged and handi capable are also being assulted. We even begin to talk about the all out assult on programs that effect women’s health that have been in place for ages.

A combination of prior knowledge and the influence and brooding of the Holy Spirit in your spirit. As you deliberate on the essence of God, the spirit of God becomes alive in you and you feel your spirit begin to awaken and the next thing you know the keys are typing uncontrollably and he is pouring faster than you can type! Just as in Genesis as the Spirit of God brooded over the waters and creation began to unfold and God began to create and paint colors unknown and never before seen nor imagined; he created the heavens and caused the bodies to revolve and evolve, yet, not collide and the mountains and rocks to cry out and sing his praises and the humming bird began to hum a sweet melody and the sky’s to proclaim his glory and the lion laid down with the sheep and there was harmony in the atmosphere…. if you just imagine the evolution a world that God gave to man and (psalms 8) and the creator was mindful of this dusty creation and the question was asked by the bodies and the angels, “what is man that thou are even mindful of him? Thou have made him a little lower than the angles and given him dominion over the works of thy hands. Your craftsman ship o God! Gave him.this untested creator. Dominion over the works of your hands … o my God. what are you Kimberly that God is even mindful of you
